Katie Atkinson is a multi-disciplinary creative, specializing in painting, photography and hand-lettering. Her work explores abstract expressionism, visual geometry, and the impact of color. Her career has included teaching in the elementary and middle school classroom as an art educator, and over twenty years in the social expression industry creating art, hand-lettering, editorial and design for greeting cards and related product with Kathy Davis Studios, and with the Kathy Davis Brand for American Greetings. She has also designed for Recycled Paper Greetings and Papyrus. She has worked on product featured in both national and international retailers, including Target, Walmart, Wegmans, Kroeger, and Rite Aid, as well as the Canadian and UK market. She lives in Porto, Portugal with her husband, enjoying the city and all of its beauty, food, art, and culture. She finds happiness in simple moments, explores life with endless curiosity, and believes that everything is interesting.
